24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring
Sometimes also called ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, this test measures your blood pressure at regular intervals over a period of time. It is often used to help confirm measurements that are taken in your doctor's office in addition to seeing how your BP (blood pressure) may correlate to your sleep patterns and daily activities.
Why Do I Need This Test?
You may be required to get this test if something could have gone unnoticed at a doctors office, or to confirm the diagnosis. It is also a useful way to detect white coat hypertention, masked hypertention and sustained hypertention.
