Full Sleep Studies
Sleep disorders can be very complex and therefore sometimes a portable sleep monitor cannot verify or diagnose snoring conditions and sleep disorders. If your physician suspects that you may have sleep apnea that is of a severe nature or another sleep disorder, they may refer you to an overnight sleep study in a laboratory-based setting.
A laboratory-based sleep study is also called Polysomnography (PSG) or a Level 1 Sleep Study. We require a physician referral in order to set up a consultation with our sleep specialists for you to get referred for a laboratory-based study. Such studies will include multiple sensors to be put on your body to assess for various monitoring and measurements. An overnight sleep study would include evaluation of your sleep staging, air flow, oxygen saturation, electrocardiogram, body position, lead movements, and EEG.
